I created this app because I noticed I was constantly calculating how many days until something mattered. Sometimes it was for myself — studying for a test and wanting that daily visual reminder of how much time remained. Other times it was for people in my life: tracking anniversaries, celebrating friendships at their 100-day and 1000-day marks, making sure I never missed a birthday again. The math was always the same, but I was doing it in different places — notes, calendar apps, calculators. It felt fragmented. I wanted one place to see everything at a glance.
What D-day Does
- Unlimited countdowns. Add as many D-days as you need — there’s no limit. Tag each one with an emoji and custom notes to make them personal.

- Repeating countdowns. Birthdays and anniversaries come around every year — set them once and the app automatically updates the date each year.
- Calendar view. See all your countdowns overlaid on a calendar. Instantly understand which dates are coming up this month.
- Progress tracking. Set a start date and target date for something like exam prep. A visual progress ring shows how far you’ve come, day by day, to keep you motivated.
- Statistics dashboard. Review your countdown distribution by category, see what’s coming up next, and reflect on milestones you’ve already reached.
The app also counts both directions — you can track days remaining (D-35) or days elapsed (D+82 after graduation). This matters if you’re measuring progress on something you’ve already started or celebrating how long something has been true.
D-day is designed to stay out of your way. There’s no sign-up required — install and start using it immediately. All your data lives on your device; nothing gets sent to a server. It works offline, supports both dark and light themes, and is available in Korean and English.
