Treadlog: Track Indoor Running With Phone Photos

If you’re serious about treadmill running, you know the frustration: outdoor GPS apps are everywhere, but logging indoor treadmill workouts feels like a chore. You finish your run, glance at the console numbers, and then what? Most fitness apps don’t understand that treadmill running is different—and deserves its own dedicated tracking experience.

I built Treadlog because I kept forgetting to log my own treadmill sessions. Every time I finished a run, I’d fumble with a generic fitness app, hunting for ways to input distance, time, calories, and incline. It felt backward. So I built something laser-focused: an app that exists solely to make treadmill logging effortless.

What It Does

  • OCR console capture: Snap a photo of your treadmill’s display and Treadlog automatically reads the distance, time, calories, incline, and speed. The recognition happens on your device—no servers, no delays. If something’s off, you can fix it instantly.
  • Quick manual entry: Skip the camera. Just type distance and time, and you’re done. It’s designed to be faster and lighter than apps that ask for everything.
  • Calendar heatmap: See your running patterns at a glance. Days you ran more appear darker on the calendar. Each month also shows your total runs, distance, and time in summary.
  • Streak tracking: Count consecutive running days and watch your consistency grow. Miss a day? No judgment—just pick it back up when you’re ready.
  • Stats and pace trends: View your lifetime totals (distance, time, run count) and watch your pace improve over time. Weekly distance graphs and weekly goals keep you on track.
  • Light and dark themes: Switch between light and dark modes, or follow your system settings. Perfect whether you’re hitting the gym at dawn or late at night.
  • Your data stays yours: No sign-up, no login, no servers. Everything lives on your phone. Switch devices? Export and import your data as a .zip file to keep your history intact.

Who It’s For

This app is built for gym-goers who treat treadmill running seriously. Whether you’re training for a race, building a consistent habit, or simply prefer indoor running, Treadlog gives you a distraction-free way to track progress without the bloat of generic fitness platforms. If you’ve ever felt frustrated by how clunky it is to log a treadmill session in a standard fitness app, this is for you.

Treadlog (originally named 트레드로그 in Korean) launched from my own need to simplify treadmill logging. The core idea—that runners deserve tools built specifically for their environment—should resonate whether you’re at a gym in Seoul, New York, or anywhere else in the world.

You can download Treadlog today on the App Store. Start capturing your treadmill runs the way they deserve to be tracked: quietly, clearly, and on your terms.
