We’ve all been there: you finish a calculation, hit equals, and seconds later you think, “Wait—how did I get that number?” You’re left re-entering the whole thing from scratch.
Standard calculators erase your work the moment you press equals. Even if you copy the final number into a notes app, days later you have no idea what it represents or how you arrived at it. I built Calculation Note to fix that problem.
How It Works
Calculation Note is a calculator that remembers your entire formula, not just the result. When you press equals, your calculation—”38000 ÷ 4 = 9500″—gets saved as a card showing both the equation and the answer. You can flip back through your history anytime and see exactly how you got to any number.
Calculations stack up over time, so I built in a folder system to keep everything organized. Create folders for your grocery budgets, freelance estimates, travel currency conversions, or group dinner splits, and color-code them for instant recognition. Each calculation can have a label (or none at all), and even unlabeled calculations stay neat when they’re sorted into folders.
