I built this app to solve that problem—giving law students, exam takers, and legal professionals instant access to the entire Korean Civil Code in one clean, searchable interface.

What It Does

• Search by article number or keyword. Type “839” or “제839조의2″ and find the exact clause instantly. Search by keyword too—”inheritance,” “divorce,” “lease rights”—and get full results with highlighted matches.
• Read the entire Code continuously. Scroll through all five books (General Provisions, Property Rights, Obligations, Family Law, Succession) in one unbroken flow. Section headers stay visible so you always know where you are.
• Jump between cross-references. Tap a cited article number in the text and jump directly to it. Follow the threads of connected law without losing your place.
• Bookmark and manage your references. Save frequently-used articles, view their full text inline, and even share them via Kakaotalk or Notes.
• Listen to the law. Text-to-speech reads clauses aloud in clear Korean. Play through your bookmarked articles in sequence, great for commuting or when your eyes need a break.
• Customize your reading. Dark mode for night reading, adjustable font sizes, and no account required—everything stays private on your device.

The app draws from official Korean government law data and displays the current effective date and statute number in settings. No login, no tracking, no external servers needed.
