If you’re a law student, exam candidate, or legal professional in Korea, you know the frustration of hunting through a statute book to find one specific article. I built a statute viewer that lets you search the entire Criminal Procedure Act, jump between cross-referenced articles, and bookmark what matters — all in seconds, right on your phone.
The app was previously available on iOS, and today it’s coming to Android. If you’ve been waiting for this on Google Play, it’s finally here.

I built this because I was tired of the friction. Whether you’re preparing for the Bar Exam, the Law School Admission Test (LEET), or civil service exams for police, prosecution, courts, or correctional services, you need instant access to the exact statute you’re looking for. No registration, no internet dependency, no clutter — just the law, fast.
The app reflects the current, officially enforced version of the Criminal Procedure Act based on public data from Korea’s National Law Information Center, so you’re always working with the right text.
What It Does
- Search multiple ways: Look up articles by number (like “312” or “Article 201-2”), search by keyword (“detention,” “bail,” “evidence”), or browse by chapter and section headings. Every match is highlighted so you spot it instantly.
- Read continuously: Scroll through the entire statute in one uninterrupted flow, with chapter and section headers always visible so you know where you are.
- Jump between articles: Tap any reference like “Article 215” in the text and instantly pull up the linked article. Follow the law’s logic without breaking your reading flow.
- Bookmark and manage: Save frequently used articles to a Favorites list. View full text inline without leaving the list.
- Listen instead of read: Text-to-speech reads articles aloud in a clear voice. Play all your bookmarks as a continuous session — great when your eyes are tired or you’re commuting.
- Dark mode and text sizing: Adjust font size from small to very large, enable dark mode for night reading, and share articles via KakaoTalk or your notes app.

The app is lightweight and entirely local. Your bookmarks and settings stay on your device. No server, no login required, no data sent anywhere. Download it once and it’s ready to go.

Who This Is For
If you’re a law student, Bar Exam prep candidate, or someone studying for Korean civil service exams, this is built for you. It’s also useful for current legal practitioners who need to verify statutes quickly, and anyone dealing with complaints, accusations, or trial procedures who wants to check the law themselves. The search is fast enough that you won’t hesitate to look something up mid-study or mid-case.

The app is available now on Google Play for Android. If you’ve been waiting for this tool on your phone, grab it and give it a try. Questions or feedback? I’m always listening to what users need.
