Find EV Charging Stations in Real-Time Across Korea

Finding an available EV charger shouldn’t be a guessing game. If you drive an electric vehicle in Korea, you know the frustration: you’re running low on battery, you pull up a charger location, and it’s already taken or out of service. I built EV Charging Map — Live Status to solve that exact problem.

I’ve been driving electric for a few years now, and I realized I was spending way too much time hunting for working chargers. Every existing tool felt either outdated or overly complicated. So I decided to build something simple: a map that shows me the real-time status of every public charging station in Korea, updated live, with the closest ones listed first.

What It Does

  • Live map view — Charger status displayed by color on Naver or Kakao maps, so you see at a glance which stations are available, in use, or offline
  • Real-time availability — No more dead ends. Each charger shows its current status instantly
  • Smart filters — Find only fast 50kW+ chargers, available-only stations, or connectors that match your vehicle
  • My vehicles — Save your car’s connector type and the app automatically shows only compatible stations
  • Favorites — Organize frequent chargers into Home, Work, and Trip folders for instant access
  • Charge log — Tap Arrive when you start charging and Done when you finish. The app captures start time, end time, and charger details automatically
  • Sort and navigate — View stations by distance, output, status, or freshness. One tap gets you directions via Naver, Kakao, or T-Map

The station data comes from Korea’s public EV charger dataset, so you’re always working with official, comprehensive information. Real-time status can occasionally lag behind the actual state at a station (networks aren’t perfect), but it gives you a solid, reliable reference that beats checking five different apps.

Who This Is For

This app is built for EV owners across Korea who want to spend less time planning their charging route and more time on the road. If you’re the type who checks charger availability before heading somewhere new, or you regularly search for the nearest working station, this cuts that friction dramatically. It’s especially useful if you prefer fast chargers and want to filter results instantly, or if you’re managing multiple vehicles with different connectors.

EV Charging Map — Live Status is available now on Google Play. If you drive electric in Korea and want a faster, smarter way to find a working charger, give it a try. I’d love to hear what you think.
