Real-Time EV Charging Map App Launches on iOS

Finding an available EV charger shouldn’t feel like a guessing game. If you drive an electric vehicle in Korea, you’ve probably spent frustrating minutes searching for a charging station that’s actually free and nearby. I built this app to solve that problem.

I started this project because I got tired of driving to charging stations only to find them fully occupied or under maintenance. Public charging data exists in Korea, but it wasn’t presented in a way that actually helped drivers make quick decisions. I wanted a single source of truth: a map that shows me exactly which chargers are available right now, how far they are, and whether they match my vehicle.

What It Does

• Real-time charger status on a map — See whether each charging point is available, in use, or under maintenance at a glance. The app overlays live status onto Naver or Kakao Maps.
• Smart filtering — Filter by charger output (fast chargers 50kW and above), availability only, or compatible connectors for your specific vehicle type.
• Register your vehicle — Save your car’s connector type once, and the app will only show compatible charging stations from then on.
• Sort by distance, power, status, or recency — Find the nearest charger, the fastest one, or the most recently updated information.
• Favorites and charging history — Bookmark stations you visit often (home, work, travel routes) and automatically log your charging sessions with timestamps and station details.
• Navigation integration — Launch turn-by-turn directions in Naver Map, Kakao Map, or Tmap directly from the app.

The data comes from Korea’s public charging infrastructure database, so you’re always working with official, up-to-date information. Real-time availability can vary due to station conditions, but the app gives you the best picture available in the moment.
