QR Anywhere now available on iOS

QR codes are everywhere, but most QR tools force you to choose: scan, generate, or customize—pick one. I built QR Anywhere to do all three in a single app, with zero sign-ups and complete privacy by design.

The app started as an Android release, and I’m thrilled to bring it to iOS users today. Whether you’re a small business owner, marketer, or just someone who scans QR codes daily, this should save you real time.

What it does

• Instant QR and barcode scanning — Point your camera and it recognizes immediately. Flashlight support for low-light scanning, and it reads codes directly from screenshots and photos in your gallery.
• Smart auto-detection — The app identifies what the QR contains and takes the right action. WiFi credentials auto-connect, contact cards add to your contacts, links open in Safari, addresses open in Maps—no copy-paste needed. It also flags unsafe links before you tap them.
• Generate 9 QR types — URLs, plain text, WiFi credentials, contact cards, email, SMS, phone numbers, locations, and calendar events. Build them in real-time as you type, perfect for use cases like adding WiFi access to a restaurant QR.
• Design your own QR codes — Add colors, gradients, a centered logo, and customize the corner patterns and frame. The app validates that your logo doesn’t break scannability, so you can brand your codes without worry.
• Auto-saved history and high-res export — Every QR you scan or create is stored locally and searchable by date. Export scanned or generated codes as high-resolution images, or share directly to Kakao Talk, Instagram, and other apps. Print-ready quality.

Why it’s built this way

I wanted something lightweight and private. No accounts, no servers, no data leaving your phone—everything stays on your device. It works offline for generation, customization, and history lookup. It supports dark mode and both Korean and English.
