Wax Ball Popper brings that exact experience to your iPhone—no messy cleanup required.
I built this app because I noticed how many people were craving this specific sensory experience, especially as a way to decompress before bed or during stressful moments. Fidget toys like pop-its and squishy toys have exploded in popularity, but there’s room for something more interactive and customizable. This app lets you craft your own wax balls, destroy them in endlessly satisfying ways, and rebuild them as many times as you want.
The app was previously available on Android, and I’m excited to bring it to iOS users today.
What It Does
- Design your own wax balls. Mix and match 8 wax colors, 6 core textures, and 3 hardness levels (crispy, normal, or soft). Each combination changes how the ball feels and sounds when you break it apart.
- Tap, press, and knead. Hold down to create cracks, rub continuously to watch the shell shatter and sink into the soft interior. Low-latency sound and haptic feedback sync perfectly with your fingertips. Keep kneading and the ball gradually smooths out.
- Collect and unlock. There are 144 possible combinations to discover. Each ball you create and destroy fills your collection, and you unlock milestones along the way. Stuck? Watch an ad to randomly unlock a new combo.
- Save your creations. Store finished balls in your vault and pull them out anytime to destroy them again. Your progress—exactly how shattered or intact the ball is—saves automatically.

You don’t need an account to start. No login, no signup. Everything lives on your device, so the app works completely offline. I’m not asking for camera, microphone, or location permissions—just your attention and your fingertips.
