I built Angdeal to solve that exact problem — it’s a deal aggregator app that pulls discount posts from multiple Korean online communities and surfaces them in a single, real-time feed.
The core frustration was mine first. I’d catch myself reflexively cycling through the same handful of community sites every morning, hoping something interesting had dropped overnight. Most deals would slip by unnoticed. I realized if I was doing this, plenty of other people were too.
What It Does
- Real-time deal collection. New discount posts are pulled from multiple Korean online communities and appear instantly in your feed. Each deal shows the product image, price, shipping status, and which community it came from. Tap through to the original post anytime.
- Smart notifications. Set keyword alerts for items you’re waiting on. When a deal with your keyword hits the feed, you get notified. You can also enable alerts for entire categories (electronics, food, beauty, lifestyle, gaming, events, parenting, hobbies) so you never miss what matters to you.
- Personalized recommendations. The app learns your interests based on the deals you actually open. Over time, posts matching your preferences float to the top of your feed. Your interest profile is visible in the settings so you can see exactly what categories the algorithm thinks you care about.
- Browse by category or time. Filter deals by 8 main categories or narrow by date (today, yesterday, last 3 days, this week). Sort by newest or most popular. Save deals for later without logging in.
- Contribute deals yourself. Found a good deal not yet posted? Submit it directly in the app. Your contributor grade goes up as your tips accumulate.
No account required to browse or save deals. If you want notifications and personalized recommendations, a free login via email, Google, or Apple account takes seconds. Your saved deals are stored locally on your device, so they persist even if the original post disappears.
