Clock in at 9, hold the line until 6, and you get to go home on time. That’s the whole premise of my new Android game: dodge the tasks your boss throws at you all day, because every hit chews into your ability to leave, and if it hits zero, overtime is guaranteed.

I built this after one too many nights watching the clock tick past quitting time for no good reason. Office hierarchy in Korea runs on a strict pecking order, and the running joke is that work magically appears the moment you plan to leave. I wanted to turn that frustration into something darkly funny you can actually play, originally named 야근 피하기 – 정시 퇴근 생존 게임 in Korean, which translates roughly to “Avoiding Overtime: The On-Time Clock-Out Survival Game.”
Features
- Task processing is automatic — you just drag to dodge, and your character moves on its own when you let go. Rounds restart on their own too, with level-up choices picked automatically, so the game keeps running even if you step away.
- Each in-game day has its own rhythm: things slow down at lunch, pile up hard after 5pm right before quitting time, and Fridays bring a visit from the CEO because it’s deadline day for the weekly report.
- Targeting follows rank, not distance — you’ll swat away the Department Head’s task first even if the Assistant Manager’s is closer, because that’s just how office politics work.
- Finishing a round pays out a performance bonus based on how much you processed, and leaving on time always pays more than working overtime. Bonuses go toward qualifications and round progress, and stacking up enough on-time departures gradually kills off weekend shifts until you’ve earned a five-day workweek.
- Subordinates keep working for you while you’re away, banking performance bonuses that scale with your rank, and bank-account purchases unlock promotions like permanent status, extra staffing, and overtime pay for a growth boost.

There’s also an in-house welfare mall where you spend your bank account on employee ID cards, approval stamps, and office decorations, up to premium cosmetics like a CEO ID or a platinum stamp. None of it touches your actual stats, it’s purely for flexing.

This is for anyone who’s ever stared at a clock willing it to hit quitting time, whether or not you’ve worked in a Korean office. If you have lived through Korea’s rank-obsessed workplace culture, the jokes will land even harder, but the core loop of dodging incoming busywork to protect your free evening is universal enough on its own.

There’s no sign-up, no account, and no leaderboard, your progress just lives on your device. If you’ve ever wanted to turn office stress into a game where leaving on time is the actual win condition, give it a try on Google Play.
