You’ve got a song you want to learn, but no sheet music exists for it. Maybe it’s a cover from a local artist, a demo a friend sent you, or a track that never got an official tab. MP3 to Guitar & Ukulele Chords takes that audio file and turns it into something you can actually play: a chord chart, a TAB, and a backing track.
I built this because I kept running into the same wall as a hobbyist player: I’d hear something I wanted to learn, search for tabs online, and come up empty or find three conflicting versions. Figuring out chords by ear works, but it’s slow, and it gets harder the busier the mix is. I wanted a tool that could take a raw audio file and hand back a usable, editable chart in minutes.
Features
- Upload an mp3, m4a, or mp4 file up to 10 minutes long, pick guitar or ukulele, and the analysis detects the beats, bars, and chords automatically. The audio is deleted from the server once analysis finishes.
- The chord chart lays out four bars per row with fingering diagrams for every chord in the song, and you can toggle between easy chord shapes and the original chords with 7ths and sus voicings.
- Full TAB for six-string guitar or four-string ukulele, with arpeggio or strum patterns and strum directions marked.
- A backing track built from the chart lets you play your original file, the backing track, or both together, with the current chord highlighted and playback speed adjustable down to 0.75x or 0.5x.
- Customize with automatic or manual capo placement up to the 7th fret, transpose the key, tap any chord to correct it, and save the finished chart as a PNG image or a print-ready A4 PDF.
This is for guitar and ukulele players who learn songs from recordings rather than official tabs, whether that’s cover versions, original tracks from friends, or anything else without a published chart. It’s also useful if you already play a song but want to simplify the chords, try a different capo position, or shift the key into a range that’s easier to sing.
The chord detection is automatic, so it won’t be perfect every time, but low-confidence chords are marked with a dot and every chord is editable with a tap. There’s no sign-up or login required, and the interface works in both English and Korean.
