Most idle games push you to check in constantly, chase timers, or watch ads just to keep progress from decaying. I wanted something you could walk away from for hours and come back to find everything exactly where you left it, just further along.

I built Egg Catch Tycoon because I wanted an idle game that respected my time instead of demanding it. There’s no starvation mechanic, no runaway timers, no penalty for forgetting to open the app. Dew builds up on its own, and when you come back, the game simply settles the time you were away, up to 8 hours by default. The whole point is to make progress feel calm, not urgent.
What it does
- Place an egg in the nest and tap it three times to crack the shell and meet a new friend. Each egg type has its own odds: a Leaf Egg tends to bring common friends, while a rarer Moonlit Egg favors uncommon ones.
- Feed your friends to help them grow. At the end of each growth stage, they choose their next form, and the food you pick shifts the odds toward rarer paths. Star Candy pushes those odds even further.
- Dew keeps accumulating even while the app is closed, so nothing is ever lost by stepping away.
- Collect all 30 friends to fill out your collection, then prestige the nest for stardust. Spend that stardust on permanent upgrades, like dew production, rare odds, and extra nest slots, all of which survive the prestige reset.
- Check in daily for dew bonuses and small tasks that reward stardust, and keep an eye out for golden dewdrops that occasionally form in the nest.

Ads are entirely optional and rewarded only. There are no banners and nothing pops up on its own; you choose when to watch one. The shop sells things like doubled dew, extra nest slots, stardust, and candy, but every one of the 30 friends is reachable without spending a cent.

This game is for anyone who likes the idea of idle collection games but is tired of being pressured by them. If you want something you can open for two minutes between tasks, or ignore for a whole workday without consequence, this fits that space. There’s no sign-up and no account; everything lives on your device, and there’s no leaderboard pushing you to compete with anyone.
